Als eine Bedingung nannte Russlands Staatschef eine ausgiebige Vorbereitung des Treffens.

Länder wie Polen, Ungarn und Griechenland schlossen eine Entsendung eigener Soldaten aus, signalisierten aber logistische oder finanzielle Unterstützung.
Tatsächlich ist die Frage einer europäischen Friedenstruppe eine rein hypothetische, da ein Waffenstillstand in der Ukraine kaum in Sicht ist.
