Die Rückeroberung der Stadt Kupjansk durch ukrainische Truppen hat nach Einschätzung von Präsident Wolodymyr Selenskyj Eindruck auf seine amerikanischen und europäischen Gesprächspartner in Berlin gemacht. “Die Tatsache, dass ich persönlich dort war, hat klargemacht, dass Putin lügt, wenn er über neue besetzte Gebiete spricht”, sagte Selenskyj der Nachrichtenagentur Interfax-Ukraine in Kiew zufolge. “Das hat meine Gespräche mit den Amerikanern beeinflusst, es hat die Gespräche mit den Europäern sehr stark beeinflusst.” Der russische Präsident Wladimir Putin behauptet seit November, dass die Stadt im Gebiet Charkiw von seinen Truppen besetzt sei.
