Der neue US-Verteidigungsminister Pete Heg­seth hat Leit­plan­ken für ein Ende des rus­si­schen Angriffs­kriegs gegen die Ukrai­ne gesetzt. Dass die Ukrai­ne wie­der in den Gren­zen vor 2014 her­ge­stellt wer­de, sei unrea­lis­tisch, sag­te Heg­seth bei einem Tref­fen der Ukraine-Kontaktgruppe am Mitt­woch in Brüs­sel. Auch dass die Ukrai­ne als Teil eines Frie­dens­plans Nato-Mitglied wer­den kön­ne, sehe US-Präsident Donald Trump nicht. Trump wol­le einen Waf­fen­still­stand mit diplo­ma­ti­schen Mit­teln her­bei­füh­ren, sag­te Heg­seth und beton­te: “Der Krieg muss enden.”

Die Ukrai­ne hat­te im ver­gan­ge­nen August in einer Über­ra­schungs­of­fen­si­ve Gebie­te in der west­rus­si­schen Regi­on Kursk erobert. Selen­skyj hat­te in einem Guardian-Interview kei­ne Anga­ben dazu gemacht, wel­che Gebie­te die Ukrai­ne zurück­for­dern könnte.

Ukrai­ne hun­kers down in Pischa­ne. Rus­sia has to move for­ces in from the east. Push to encir­cle Pischa­ne is alrea­dy on the way. Ukrai­ne moves into their flank.

Main attack to the west of that, so rus­sia moves west to out­flank that attack.

Seems like rus­sia does not have enough for­ces in Pischa­ne. Which is real­ly some­thing -- when that should be the most for­ti­fied part of your front oppo­si­te Pokrovsk right now…
