Krem­lin is not just cal­ling war cri­mes fake but now pro­mo­ting the accu­sed. Putin has now awar­ded the 64th motor rif­le bri­ga­de the tit­le of “Guards.” It was among the units that was repor­ted to be ope­ra­ting in Bucha.

OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
On awar­ding the hono­ra­ry tit­le of the 64th Inde­pen­dent Moto­ri­zed Rif­le Brigade

For total hero­ism and valor, forti­tu­de and cou­ra­ge, shown by the per­son­nel of the bri­ga­de in com­bat actions to defend the home­land and sta­te inte­rests during the armed con­flicts, I her­eby decree:

1. To award the 64th sepa­ra­te moto­ri­zed rif­le bri­ga­de the hono­ra­ry tit­le “Guards” and hence­forth to call it: 64th sepa­ra­te Guards moto­ri­zed rif­le brigade.

2. This Decree shall enter into for­ce on the date of its signing.

It’s also not the case that tho­se pro­mo­ti­ons would be a regu­lar occur­rence sin­ce the war star­ted, kremlin.ru lists four given out in total.

Ja, Rau­scher fin­det immer noch, Sny­der sei sehr zu empfehlen.

Wobei, wie der His­to­ri­ker und Ukraine-Kenner Timo­thy Sny­der schreibt, für Putin “jeder Ukrai­ner ein Nazi ist, der nicht zuge­ben will, dass er eigent­lich ein Rus­se ist”.

Sny­der sagt aber auch, dass Putin in poli­ti­schen Begrif­fen denkt, “die für die meis­ten demo­kra­ti­schen Poli­ti­ker und über­haupt die aller­meis­ten im Wes­ten voll­kom­men unver­ständ­lich sind”. Eben­je­nem impe­ria­lis­ti­schen, mit großrussisch-orthodoxer Reli­gio­si­tät unter­leg­tem Faschis­mus. Ein “hei­li­ges” Russ­land mit einer ganz beson­de­ren Mis­si­on: den deka­den­ten Wes­ten zu besie­gen, zunächst in Russ­land und sei­nem unmit­tel­ba­ren Ein­fluss­be­reich, aber dann auch in ganz “Eura­si­en”. Nur davon zu Spre­chen dass “Ent­na­zi­fi­zie­rung” der Mecha­nis­mus ist mit dem ein Feind im Sin­ne einer Out­group geschaf­fen wur­de, und dass das gefähr­lich ist, da es den Begriff rus­si­scher Will­kür unter­wirft und dadurch von sei­ner fak­ti­schen Inter­pre­ta­ti­on zu einer Begriff mit Pro­pa­gan­da Aus­le­gung macht, wäre ja zu wenig.

Die Argu­men­ta­ti­on ist aber im vor­he­ri­gen Sny­der Video ver­linkt. Dadurch dass sich Russ­land der Begriff­lich­keit bedient und auch mit dem Begriff eines Tri­bu­nals han­tiert, hieft es sich in eine Entscheider-Rolle die ihm nicht zusteht.

Dass das ein­ge­bet­tet in einen impe­ria­lis­ti­schen, mit großrussisch-orthodoxer Reli­gio­si­tät unter­leg­tem Faschis­mus pas­sie­re funk­tio­niert als Ana­ly­se - dass das das Den­ken Putins sei der ein “hei­li­ges” Russ­land von Lis­sa­bon bis Wla­di­wos­tok aus­deh­nen will, ist Interpretation.

Damit die nicht mehr greift, braucht es Regimechange.

Ich sehe schon Neham­mer so argu­men­tie­ren, dem Rau­scher Sny­der ja als Bera­ter nahe­legt.

Und Öster­reich? Karl Neham­mer muss sei­nen Diek­mann nach Hau­se schi­cken und sich mit ech­ten Kali­bern umge­ben. Ähn­li­ches gilt für die SPÖ-Chefin Pame­la Rendi-Wagner. Dass in TV-Diskussionen die SPÖ von der Appeasement-Politikerin Muna Duz­dar ver­tre­ten wird, ist eine Fahrlässigkeit.

Sur­pri­se, it is psy­cho­lo­gi­cal pro­filing of Putin again! Oh, and may­be on a more sen­si­ble level, ana­ly­sis of sta­te and mili­ta­ry orga­niz­a­tio­nal struc­tures. Oh, and down­play­ing (but at least men­tio­ning) the advan­ta­ge that real time battle­field ana­ly­sis provides.

Of cour­se it fails to ack­now­ledge the posi­ti­on of the non wes­tern world, and what hap­pens after rus­sia is bea­ten after a long war of attri­ti­on, but then - as long as you can topp­le tyrants… *insert Shake­speare quo­te at the end*

It actual­ly works. Con­cep­tual­ly. And as a moti­va­tio­nal speech.

It’s just that you have to get over the bump of “oh well, lets have a few more peop­le here die soo­ner, rather than later”, becau­se of this theo­re­tic logic we fol­low, about how the world should work, based on insti­tu­tio­nal con­cepts and myths rely­ing on a glo­bal nati­on pro­ne to excep­tio­na­lism… But hey, no one is here to hear the nay­say­er speak, so yes - it works.
